THIS EVENT IS THE FIRST OF TWO SESSIONS ON JANUARY 10, 2013.Please see the link below to register for the afternoon session.
This 2-part, full day workshop will cover both beginning and advanced topics for librarians interested in developing and/or enhancing their writing and research skills.
The morning session (9-12) will focus on beginning topics such as How to get started, types of scholarly writing, networking for success, what to expect from peer review, etc.
The afternoon session (1-4) will cover topics more of interest to those already writing and publishing such as So you want to write a book, How to navigate IRB regulations, and Developing a writing support group.
Participants will be contacted prior to the workshop in order to gauge specific topics of interest and to assess needs.
This workshop would be useful to academic librarians or others interested in scholarly writing, especially those who are required to publish as part of their job expectations.
